Gerald "Jerry" Lee Nave, 71, Of Rock Island, passed away December 22, 2017.  Jerry was born on August 8, 1946 to birth parents James and Bernadine (Craig) Phillips. Jerry was later adopted by August and Elizabeth (Hinesh) Nave.

Jerry was loved by many.  He has now returned home to Heaven, to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He will be missed here on Earth.  Jerry resided in Pierce and Grand Island, Nebraska; Clinton, Iowa and Rock Island, Illinois throughout his life.

Jerry was a retired electrician with Oscar Meyer, Davenport.

He is proceeded in death by his adopted parents August and Elizabeth (Hinesh) Nave & his birth parents James and Bernadine (Craig) Phillips, his sister Sharon Shermer and his son Jerry Jo Nave.  He is survived by his children: Theresa (Davy) Workman, Stephanie Kump married to Richard Schleig, Benjamin Nave, Jeremiah Nave and Leah (Robbie) Siegwarth; his 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; his siblings: James (Kay) Nave, Joseph (Mary Ann) Phipps, Diane (Leroy) Sandeen and Beth Sirek.

Funeral services are being held at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island, Illinois on Tuesday January 2, 2018 at 10:30am, with visitation 10:00am to service time.
