Geraldine G. Davis, 97, of Mesquite, TX, received her heavenly wings, Wed., Sept. 13, 2023, at T. Boone-Pickens, Faith Hospice and Palliative Care Center, Dallas, TX.

Geraldine, commonly referred to by her friends and loved ones as "Sug" or Gerry," was born Sept. 4, 1926, in Cedar Rapids, IA, the daughter of Garland and Anna (Perry) Rockwell. She was previously united in marriage to Mack Davis and Albert Lewis (both deceased).

Geraldine attended Rock Island Senior High School in Rock Island, IL. Early in life she worked at Sears & Roebuck and Caterpillar Tractor Co. Geraldine was a homemaker who was kind, loving and adored by all. She enjoyed church, traveling and spending time with her family.

Geraldine leaves loving memories to be cherished by her son Steven (Vali) Lewis of Aliso Viejo, CA; daughters: Joyce Guthrie of Upper Marlboro, MD, Claudia (Ron) Hughes of Memphis, TN, and Tina (Stanley) Motton of Mesquite, TX; daughter-in-law, Alberta Lewis of Rock Island, IL; cousin, Patricia (Bobby) Randolph of Dallas, TX; beloved grandchildren: Kenneth (LaVonn) Lewis, Sr.; Angela Lewis, Kevin (Tina) Lewis; Duane (Nikki) Lewis, II; Bryon and Kelly Guthrie; Mellanie Lewis; Melony Lewis; Garland Calhoun; Stephen (Pam) Douglas; Nikkya and Sean Lewis; 46 great grandchildren, 91 great-great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-great grandchild, and a host of other friends, relatives and loved-ones.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, Garland and Anna Rockwell; son, Duane Lewis Sr.; daughter, Marlene Wakefield; grandsons, Sonny Lewis, Sr., and James Douglas, IV; granddaughter, Gina Lewis; great-granddaughter, Breona Dunbar-Guthrie and great-great-grandsons, Rahmah Camus Speights, Jr. and Ryland Speights.

Services are 12:00 p.m. Friday, September 29, 2023, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Visitation is two-hours prior at the funeral home. Burial will be in Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island.
