Gerda D. Mueller , 94, of Aledo, formerly of Buffalo Prairie, IL, passed away Sunday February 14, 2021 at Mercer Manor, Aledo, IL.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 18, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island, with graveside services following at 2:30 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Taylor Ridge, IL. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Taylor Ridge.

Gerda was born June 16, 1926 in Moline, Illinois, a daughter of Gustaf and Gertie Bjorkman Ekstrom. She married Daniel E. Mueller on April 8, 1945 in Moline. He preceded her in death on May 14, 2011.

In addition to being a homemaker, she worked for several businesses in Aledo prior to her retirement.

Gerda was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, and the Dorcas Society of the church. She was active in the Reach for Recovery for the American Cancer Society in earlier years.

Surviving are her daughters, Pamela Hammitt, Marion, Iowa and Patricia Mueller, Moline; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Debra Adelman; son, Daryl Mueller; one brother and one sister.
