Obituary

Girolama "Mimma" Randazzo, 83, of Milan passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024 at home surrounded by family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, January 26, 2024 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Milan. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Entombment will be in Calvary Mausoleum, Rock Island. Memorials may be made in care of the family.

Mimma was born on April 1, 1940 in Cinisi, Sicily, a daughter of Onofrio and Santa (Alfano) Leone. She married Salvatore Randazzo on March 31, 1964 and he preceded her in death. Mimma stayed home to raise her 3 children and always keep the house in order and got dinner on the table every night. She thoroughly enjoyed caring for others, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her hobbies included knitting and cooking.

Those left to cherish Mimma's memory include her children, Vincenza (Benny) Manzella, Santina (Kelly) Bennett, and Damiano (Norine) Randazzo; grandchildren, Theresa, Mimma, Joanie, Christina, Vito, and Giovanni; great grandchildren, Domenica, Valentina, and Ariella; brothers, Vincenzo, Pete, Salvatore, and Frank Leone; and several nieces and nephews.

Mimma was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Condolences may be left for the family on Mimma's tribute wall.
