Obituary

Glenn L. Cramer, 64, of Milan, died Friday, March 27, 2015 at UnityPoint Health - Trinity Rock Island. A memorial service will be at 6 pm Wednesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan. Visitation will be from 4-6 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made in care of the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan.

Glenn was born in Moline, Ill. on August 7, 1950, a son of Emery and Wilena Haynie Cramer. He was a graduate of Rock Island High School and attended classes at Blackhawk Community College. Glenn was a U.S. Army veteran, serving with the 82nd Airborne Division, during the Vietnam War .

Glenn worked as a welder for John Deere Parts and Harvester for many years.

Glenn was a sports fisherman who loved fishing Muskie. He played golf and tennis for many years when able. He was an avid Civil War buff and Iowa Hawkeye fan. Glenn also loved his three dogs, Mandy and the late Beau and Cheyenne.

Survivors include his mother, Wilena "Lena" Cramer, Rock Island; sister, Diana (Carl) Robinson, Coal Valley; and nieces, Julie (Cameron) Dallmann, Abilene, Texas, Catherine (Eric) Burnham, Cedar Lake, Ind. and Heather (Jason) Ford, Washington, Ill..

He was preceded in death by his father.

The family would like to thank Dr. Porubcin and his staff for their care and kindnesses as well as the staff at UnityPoint for their care for Glenn.
