Glenn D. Wilson, 74, of Milan, passed away Friday, August 6, 2021 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.

Services will be at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be left to New Kingdom Trailriders, Milan.

Glenn was born on April 21, 1947 in Rock Island, the son of John D. and Zelma (Dobbeleare) Wilson. He married Janet Swank on February 4, 1977 in Galena. He was a United States Army Veteran.

Mr. Wilson served with the Rock Island County Sherriff's Office for 26 years and later with the Rock Island Arsenal Police Department.

Glenn enjoyed horseback riding, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, all terrain vehicles, gardening and farming. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Milan, The Knights of Pythias, Fraternal Order of Police, North American Hunting Club and North American Fishing Club.

Survivors include his children, Paula (Jon) Desmond, Kansas, OK, Robert (Lisa) Wilson, Illinois City and Beverly (Matthew) Lower, Aledo; 6 grandchildren; brothers, Harry Wilson and John Wilson, both of Milan.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet, and parents, John and Zelma Wilson.
