Gloria J. Davis, 67, Rock Island, IL passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024 at her home surrounded by family and under the care of hospice. There will be a visitation from 10-11:00 AM with the funeral service following at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 11, 2024 at New Life Apostolic Church, East Moline. Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport, IA. Memorials may be made to the family.

Gloria was born on April 20, 1957 to Harold and Cora Lee (Baker) Davis in Goodman, MS. She grew up in Mississippi and then relocated to the Quad Cities where she made her home and raised her children. She worked in the hospitality industry at various hotels and nursing homes until her retirement.

In her spare time, Gloria enjoyed watching westerns and soap operas and especially loved Little House on the Prairie and Gun Smoke. She also enjoyed watching football and rooting for the Denver Broncos.

Gloria was a member of the New Life Apostolic Church. In addition to her faith, she was also very family-oriented. She loved to cook for and spend time with her kids and grandkids.

She will be greatly missed by her children, Gregory Davis, Sonya Davis, Shapri (James) Davis, LaKeesha Davis, LaRico Davis, Adrian (Sha) Pryor, Jenika Pryor and Joshua (Ashley) Pryor; special grandson, Taurean Rogers; siblings, Katherine Hudson, Patricia Davis, Ray (Elsa) Davis, Annie Pearl Falls, Letha (Michael) Cox, Craig Davis, Stacy (George) Truss; 24 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Rochelle Davis; grandson, Tyris Carter; siblings, Daphne Davis and Tracy Edwards; aunt, Betty Weatherby; and cousin, Teonna Greer.
