Gloria E. Linton, 68, of Rock Island, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family.

A private family funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at House of Fire Ministries, Rock Island.  A public visitation will be from 4 pm to 7 pm on Friday, November 20, 2020 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island.  All visitors are to wear a mask and practice social distancing.  Burial will be at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Gloria was born on August 1, 1952 in Chicago, the daughter of Jesse and Rosie Lee (Hudson) Linton Sr.  She worked as a cook for Project Now Preschool.  Gloria was a member of House of Fire Ministries in Rock Island and enjoyed singing in their choir.  She loved spending time with her family and friends.

Gloria is survived by her children, Charles Linton and LaCresha E. Linton; grandchildren, Courtney Trice, Asti Fowler, LaCresha Y. Linton, Asanti Linton, Elijah Linton, and Isaiah Linton; and great grandchildren, Brooklyn Campbell and Korde Delarosa.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Floyd Lambert, Richard Lambert, and Jesse Linton Jr.
