Gloria A. Sax, 95, of Rock Island passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at Silver Cross Nursing Center, Rock Island.

Private graveside services will be held at Hebrew Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made in care of Temple Emanuel, Davenport. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting the family.

Gloria was born on October 2, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois, a daughter of William and Betty (Lefstein) Lerner. She married Bernard Sax on February 15, 1948 in Rock Island and he preceded her in death on March 25, 2010. Gloria worked as a secretary for John Deere for over 22 years.

Those left to cherish Gloria's memory include her children, Shelley (Lawrence) Sax Eldridge, Huntley, IL, and Steve (Dianne) Sax, Chatham, IL; and granddaughter, Misty Sax.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bernard; and sister, Marilyn Manvitz.
