Harold R. Bennett, 77, of Milan, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017 at his home. Services for Mr. Bennett will be 6 pm, Monday, June 12, 2017 at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be at a later date in Missouri. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society or to the family.

Harold was born on November 29, 1939 in Norwood, Missouri, a son of Ray Bennett and Daisy Barnett Bennett. He married Marilyn McKeag on January 23, 1965 in Rock Island. Harold work as an assembler at John Deere Plow and Planter Works, Moline. He retired from John Deere in 2006. He enjoyed going to the casino, Harley Davidson Motorcycles, horses, and pony harness racing.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn,  children, Kevin Bennett, California, Kenneth (Arlene) Bennett, Greenfield, IN., Kama Bennett, East Moline, Kelly (Santina) Bennett, Rock Island, and Leadane Bennett, Mansfield, Missouri; grandchildren, Tashia, Miranda, Travis, Giovanni, Joan, and Christina; great granddaughter, Lillyonia; and a brother, Darrel (Beate) Bennett, Germany.

Mr. Bennett was preceded in death by parents; brothers, R.Dean Barnett; Robert Bennett; and a sister, Barbara Cantrel.
