Harold Charles Blaser, 88, of Reynolds, passed away Monday June 20, 2016 at Trinity UPH, Rock Island.

Services will be 10:00am Saturday at Buffalo Prairie Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00-8:00pm at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 801 W. Edgington Street, Reynolds. Burial will be in Buffalo Prairie Cemetery with military honors by Reynolds American Legion Post 1166. Memorials may be left to Buffalo Prairie Presbyterian Church.

Harold was born on October 31, 1927 in Taylor Ridge, the son of Harry and Annie (Carothers) Blaser. He married Margie Sackville on May 2, 1948 in Hamlet, IL. She preceded him in death on September 9, 1982. He later married Ann (Hall) Gregory on June 29, 1984 in Ecorse, MI.

Mr. Blaser farmed his entire life and raised purebred Hereford cattle since 1948.

He was a World War II Navy Veteran.

Harold was a member of Hamlet Presbyterian Church, Rock Island County farm bureau, Illinois and American Hereford Association, Reynolds American Legion Post 1166 and former director of the Rock Island Soil and Water Conservation District.

Survivors include his wife, Ann; children and spouses, Anita Gorden, Elkhart, IN., Blair (Sara) Blaser, Reynolds, Lisa Blaser, Reynolds, Brad (Penny) Blaser, Taylor Ridge; step children, P. Wendell (Denise) Gregory, Joplin, MO., Marlene Gregory, East Moline, Charlene (Dave) Waid, Villa Rica, GA.; grandchildren, Angie, Jessica, Cody, Bailey, Abby, Thomas; 7 step grandchildren; one step great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margie; parents; grandsons, Josh, Brady and Logan Blaser; sisters, Evelyn Carlson and Arlene Nussbaum.
