Harold Ray Fleming, 86, of Milan, died Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at his home.  Services were private.  Burial was at Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island, where military honors were presented.  Memorials may be made in care of the Quad City Animal Welfare Center or the Salvation Army.  Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan, assisted the family.

Harold was born in East Springfield, Ohio on February 23, 1930, a son of Harold and Mable Markley Fleming.  He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Harold married Sharon Wilson in Geneseo, Ill. in 1990.  He worked as a production manager and ammunitions specialist at the Rock Island Arsenal and retired in 1985.

Harold was a member of the Milan American Legion Post 569 and Independent Order of Odd Fellows.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Fleming, Milan; children (and spouses), Lorrie Jean (Dennis) Porter, Winder, Ga., Ronald Ray Fleming, Austin, Texas, Rhonda K. (Derek) Norberg, Hooppole, Ill., Mark David (Kaew) Fleming, North Pole, Alaska and Misty Dawn (Steven) Thiltgen, Cumming, Ga.; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Marjean Hamrick, Ohio; brothers, Charles (Edna) Fleming, Orville, Ohio, Gary Fleming, Ohio and Wayne Fleming, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his son, Larry Fleming and sisters, Ann, Sandy, Susan and Irene.
