Harold "Jack" J. Voss, 81, of Moline, died Thursday, December 18, 2014 at UnityPoint Health-Trinity Rock Island. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island, where military honors will be conducted. Memorials may be made in care of the American Cancer Society or to the Disabled American Veterans.

Harold was born in Rock Island on September 14, 1933, a son of Harold and Dorothy Senger Voss. He married Judy Davis at the United Methodist Church in Rock Island in 1956.

Harold was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean War. He spent a short time as a plumber after his service. He then went on to work at the Rock Island Farmall Plant as a machinist, retiring after 25 years.

Harold was a great handyman. He was an avid crossword puzzler. In his earlier years, he enjoyed bird watching, gardening and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Voss, Moline; children (and spouses), John (Alisande) Voss, Portage, Mich., Shelly Voss, Rock Island, Susan Sawyer, Groveland, Mass., Cathy Voss, Batavia, Ill., Judith Voss, Milan and David (Elizabeth) Voss, Rock Island; and grandchildren, Mitchell Voss, Anne (Travis) McLouth, and Nicholas and Emily Sawyer.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Patricia Flagle.
