Harold C. Ridnour, 89, of Milan, went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at Graceland Cemetery, Creston, IA.

Harold was born on September 29, 1933 in Creston, IA, the son of Claude and Letha (Shock) Ridnour.  He married Barbara Irish on December 4, 1955 in Toledo, IA.  Harold was a proud veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.  In his younger years, Harold and his dad owned and operated Ridnour Electric in Creston.  He then moved to Milan, and worked and retired from Caterpillar.  After retirement he started a business called HESS Electrical.  Harold enjoyed reading, listening to music, woodworking, and collecting antique model cars.  Harold and his wife loved doing genealogy, arranging family reunions, and traveling to see distant relatives.

Harold is survived by his wife, Barbara Ridnour; daughters, Lisa Ridnour and Ann (David) Mangelsdorf; grandchildren, Shawn (Amanda) Ridnour, Kelli Ridnour, Amanda (Tyler Engholm) VanWatermeulen; Christi (Quinton) Mangelsdorf-Helgason, and Aletha (James) Gauley; great grandchildren, Samantha, Isela, Wyatt, Madie, Christopher Ridnour and Alyahna Gauley; great great granddaughter, Charlie Ridnour; and brother, Robert Ridnour.  He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Eric Scott Ridnour; and sisters, Donna Ridnour and Sharon (Ed) Pinske.
