Helen Louise Skinner, 89, of Milan, Illinois, passed away Monday, October 6, 2025, at her home.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 10, 2025, at the Rock Island Eagle's Club. Private inurnment will be in the Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan, is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to QC Paws in Helen's memory.

Helen was born on January 25, 1936, in Mystic, Iowa, a daughter of Elijah and Olga (Padavich) Shonts. She graduated from Rock Island High School in 1954. Helen married Ronald Eugene Skinner on March 11, 1955, in Milan. He preceded her in death on September 17, 2011. Helen worked at Servus Rubber and the East Moline State Hospital before retiring. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and gardening. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and beloved late dog, Buster.

Those left to cherish Helen's memory include her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Michael Davis; grandchildren, Heather Davis and Michael Davis Jr. (Cynthia), great-grandchildren, Broddie (Rachel), Gabby, Zippy, Rafi, and Ethan; great-great-granddaughter, Lainey; and many nieces and nephews.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ron; son, Randy Skinner; and brother, Butch Shonts.
