Henry Vincent Burns III passed away peacefully on Nov 3. Private burial will take place at the Rock Island National Cemetery with full military honors.

Henry was born on May 29, 1945 in St Louis, MO to Marjorie (Seaver) and Henry V. Burns II.

He graduated from Alleman High School and Black Hawk College.  He served as a Sergeant in the United States Army.  He was a proud Vietnam veteran.

His career was in HVAC and he retired as a Construction Administrator from the St Louis office of KJWW.

Henry and his wife, Karen, moved back to the Quad Cities in 2019.

Henry was an avid golfer and a St Louis Cardinals fan.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; children, Jason (Amy) and Tim (Alicia) Burns; Daniel (Elsa) and Scott (Tera) Impens; grandchildren, Connor, Ava, and Ashton Burns; Isabella, Elin, and Katherine Impens; Abigail and Zachary Papke; siblings, Thomas (Rita) Burns; in-laws, Jac Tiechner, David (Sharyn) and Joan Stockdale; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Bonnie; and sister, Kathi Tiechner.

Arrangements entrusted to the care of Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island.
