Hope E. Washburn, 81, of Rock Island, passed away Monday April 3, 2023 at her home.

A Memorial visitation will be from 4:00-7:00pm Friday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Memorials may be left to a favorite charity.

Hope was born on May 23, 1941 in Moline, Illinois, the daughter of Rene and Bertha (Boecher) Masscho. She married Donald Washburn on September 14, 2002 in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on September 6, 2015.

She was a member of the Rock Island Moose, Rock Island Eagles Club and Milan American Legion. Hope loved spending time with her family and working on crafts.

Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Doyle and Mary Roos, Rock Island; grandchildren, Cyle (Cassandra) Roos, Randy (Hannah) Roos, Angie (Bryon) Watson, Glen Roos, Mike (Lisa) Roos; great grandchildren, Caleb, Ellie, Addie, Evie, Izzie, Ayden, Huxley, Calley, Joey, Haylie, Abbie, Mason and Emma; siblings, Faith (Frank) Carter, Joslin, Laurene Scholfield, East Moline, Dale (Sally) Masscho, Fulton, Karen Masscho, Erie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; son, Duane Roos and brother, Paul Masscho.
