Ida H. Schmidt, 99, of Reynolds, passed away Tuesday May 24, 2016 at Avonlea Cottages, Milan.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Friday, May 27th, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Reynolds, with visitation from 11:00 am to service time. Burial will follow in Reynolds Cemetery. Memorials may be left for Reynolds Fire Department or Gilda's Club, Davenport.

Ida was born on March 17, 1917 in Edgington Township, the daughter of Carl August and Katherine (Kadel) Schmidt. She married Marlin "Jake" Schmidt in 1945 in Ottawa. He preceded her in death September of 1992.

Mrs. Schmidt had been a homemaker her adult life raising her 5 children and 1 granddaughter, LeAnne.

Ida was a member of Reynolds United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking, canning and playing cards.

Survivors include her children and spouses, Sharon(Robert) Curtis, Reynolds, Nadine (Anthony) Liberatore, Springfield, IL, Brian Schmidt, Reynolds; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughters, Carol "Suzi" and Bonita, 7 brothers and 6 sisters.
