Irene V. Bowser, 84, of Rock Island, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at UnityPoint Health Trinity, Rock Island. Cremation rites have been accorded. Services will be private. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to ALS Foundation.

Irene was born on March 29, 1939 in Rock Island, a daughter of August and Emma DeLoose. She married William T. "Bill" Bowser on June 21, 1958 in Rock Island and he preceded her in death on June 14, 2021. Irene was a homemaker and stayed home to raise her two children. Her greatest joy came from spending time with family.

Those left to cherish Irene's memory include her daughter, Connie (Mark) Damewood, Rock Island; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Mark Bowser; and all her siblings.
