John "Bob" R. Bull, 86, of Illinois City, passed away Wednesday October 15, 2014, at Wilton Retirement Community, Wilton, IA.

Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday October 18, 2014 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan. Visitation will be held from 3 PM - 7 PM on Friday October 17, 2014, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Buffalo Prairie Cemetery following the service. Memorials may be made to Antioch Baptist Church Reynolds, IL or Eliza Lion's Club.

Bob was born October 12, 1928 in Buffalo Prairie, IL, the son of John W. and Bernice (Boney) Bull. He married Eva Crutcher on December 19, 1948 at Antioch Baptist Church in Reynolds, IL. Bob served 2 years in the Army as a Tank Commander. Bob worked as a farmer, and was very dedicated to his work. He also enjoyed traveling down to Texas during the winter with his wife. Bob was a member of Antioch Baptist Church Reynolds, IL, Lion's Club of Eliza, IL, and the Eliza Baldwin American Legion.

Bob will be remembered by his wife of 65 years Eva Bull, Illinois City; his daughter Sheryl Bull, Moline; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Betty Girls; and his half brother Newton Bull.
