Jackee (Bourdeau) Salmonson, 93, of Moline, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022. Private inurnment will be in Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island with her husband, William, who preceded her in death on July 8, 1996 and son, Craig, who preceded her in death on January 1, 1969. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting with arrangements.

Jackee graduated from the former St. Joseph High School. She worked as a draftswoman at the Illinois Bell Telephone Company. In 1955, Jackee married William "Bill" Salmonson and later retired to start a family. She enjoyed volunteering at the former Sacred Heart Catholic School, where her children attended. Later in life Jackee enjoyed transporting handicapped children to and from school for 14 years. She loved everything she was involved with, especially when she and a group of friends played music, baked cakes, and entertained the residents at a local retirement home. Jackee also loved to laugh and make others laugh, as her friends can attest to. Some of her friends were with her for 80 years.

Those left to cherish Jackee's memory are her children, Terry (Tom) Fehlhaber, Michelle (Ken Hodor) Lema, Dave (Diane) Salmonson, and Lisa (John Sargeant) Salmonson; 9 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
