Celebrating the life of Jacqueline Johnston, 69, who passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2024, in St. Louis, Missouri.

Services will be held at 12 pm, Friday, November 22, 2024, at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made in care of the family.

Jaqueline was born, February 28, 1955, the daughter of Herbert Leon Berry and Willie Mae (Alexander) Berry. She married Willie Johnston. He preceded her in death on December 21, 2019. She was a vibrant soul who brought joy, laughter, and warmth to all. Jacqueline would cuss you out and hug you all at once, always there for her family.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Sheila Berry, Lisa Berry, Cynthia Berry, Dewaun Berry, Mary Johnston, Cassius Johnston, Willie Johnston Jr; and siblings, Donna Berry, Deborah Nelson, Bennie Nelson, Bertha Mae Lee. She was also a beloved aunt, grandmother, and friend to many, with a host of nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert Leon Berry Sr. and Willie Mae (Alexander) Berry; husband, Willie Johnston; children, Joris Berry, Malcolm Berry, Daniel Berry; and siblings Verlene Berry, Tommy Berry, Sharon Berry, Herbert Berry, and Wilbert Berry.
