Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Avenue, Rock Island, Illinois. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 27, 2026, at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, Omaha, Nebraska. Memorials may be made to a local food bank in Jackie’s memory.

Jackie was born on September 11, 1937, in Omaha, Nebraska, a daughter of Jack Howard and Dorothy Marie (Davis) Bolton. She graduated from Omaha North High School and went on to attend secretarial school, where she developed exceptional shorthand and transcription skills she used as an Administrative Assistant.

She was united in marriage to Eugene Lehman Knight, who preceded her in death. Jackie began her career at Supreme Bakers (now Keebler) and later worked for many years at Northern Natural Gas until her retirement. She was a devoted member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Omaha, where she shared her love of music by singing in the church choir.

Jackie found joy in life’s simple pleasures, including digging in the dirt and caring for plants and flowers. She was a woman of deep faith and devotion, lovingly caring for her mother and maintaining the family homestead for many years.

Those left to cherish Jackie’s memory include her brother and sister-in-law, Rev. Dale and Evelyn Bolton; and her sister and brother-in-law, Sally and William Leistner.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and daughter, Heather Knight.
