James M. "Jimmy" DePaepe, 52 of Milan, was found deceased on April 14, 2016. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am on Tuesday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Milan. Burial is at Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island. Visitation is Monday from 4 to 6 pm at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Memorials may be made to St. Ambrose Catholic Church or to the Milan Christian Food Pantry. James Michael DePaepe was born Jan. 6, 1964 in Davenport, a son of Frank R. and Joan B. Rose DePaepe. He graduated from Rock Island High School in 1982. Jimmy had worked at Miller Container, R & O and most recently at Export Packing Co. He loved the outdoors and especially fishing and hunting. Jimmy enjoyed most sports and was a good swimmer and baseball player. Survivors include his parents, Frank and Joan, Milan; brothers, William F. DePaepe, Huber Heights, Ohio, and Todd J. DePaepe (fiancee, Diane Hart), Rock Island; aunt, Joan Grothusen, East Moline; uncle, James Santry, Mount Juliet, Tenn.; many cousins; and special friends, Billie Anderson and Elmo Quinlin. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the Rock Island County Sheriff's Department and Milan Police Department, especially Chief Shawn Johnson and Sgt.
