James W. Friday, 44, of Coal Valley, passed away Friday, November 7, 2014.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island. Visitation will be held from 4 PM to 7 PM on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Dayton Corners Cemetery, Colona. Memorials may be made to the family.

James was born on September 4, 1970, in Silvis, IL. The son of Joyce (Stilwell) Friday. James worked as an Auction Coordinator at the Greater Quad City Auto Auction. He enjoyed fishing, racing, football, and spending time with his family.

James is survived by his sister Tena (John) Waltman, Rock Island; his aunts, Virginia (Earl) Kain, Rock Island and Dottie King, Geneseo; his uncles, Dale (Lee) Stilwell and Russell (Gloria) Stilwell, both of Colona; his nephews, Kevin Hurt, Chicago, Vernon Hart III and James Hart, both of Rock Island; his niece, Teri Fento, Rock Island; his great nieces and nephews, Jazmine, Abraham, Kylie, Emi, and Joycelynn; numerous cousins; and his close friends Ryan, Jake, and Trent. He was preceded in death by his mother, aunt Betty Layman, and uncle Danny Stilwell.
