James D. Nelson, 65, of Milan, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 18, 2022 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.  Memorials may be made to the family.

James was born on December 15, 1956 in Rock Island, the son of Raymond and Marion Nelson.  He married Gina Koch, his wife for 45 years, on February 27, 1977 in Moline.  James worked in maintenance for various companies, last working for Highcliff Estates.  He had a love for electronics, being on his computer, and tinkering with scanners and radios.  James also enjoyed his dogs and spending time with his family.  He had a heart of Gold, and he had a way of letting everybody know what was on his mind.

James is survived by his wife, Gina Nelson; children, Chris and Jason Nelson; and multiple brother and sister-in-laws.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry Nelson.
