James M. Pittington, 63, of Coal Valley passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022.

Per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

James was born on February 27, 1959 in Wisconsin, a son of James and Mary Pittington. He graduated from United Township High School. He then went on to work in the landscaping and tree care for many years.

James loved history, nature, muscle cars, music, and spirits. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and was always willing to do anything to help a friend.

Survivors include his children, Brian and Erin Pittington and grandchildren, Anthony and Orin.

He was preceded in death by his mom and all of his siblings.
