James O. Waite, Jr., 74, of Illinois City, formerly of Andalusia, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2015 at home. Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and no services are planned at this time. Memorials may be made to the family.
James Ora Waite, Jr. was born on July 30, 1941 in Jerome, Iowa, a son of James O. Waite, Sr. and Elva M. Ross Waite. He married Martha Sue Davidson on June 11, 1962 in Rock Island. James worked as a welder at Deere and Company for over 30 years. He greatly enjoyed fishing, CB radio communications and tinkering with John Deere tractors and mowers.
Surviving are his wife, Sue; daughter, Lori Parchert, Andalusia; grandson; Colten Parchert, Andalusia; and a sister, Norma Steafken, Moline.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Ira Joe and Dennis.
