In Memory of James Steven Welsh: A Life That Touched Us All

On July 17, 2023, Viola said goodbye to a radiant soul, James Welsh, who was only 35 years old. As we come together to celebrate his remarkable life, our hearts are heavy with sadness. The gathering, taking place at the Eagles Club in Matherville, IL on July 29, 2023, from 4:00 pm until midnight, will honor his memory.

Born on June 4, 1988, in Rock Island, James was embraced by the love of his parents, Thomas and Daphine Welsh. His joyful nature and warmth enchanted everyone he met. As the life of the party, his infectious laughter and passion for celebration brought joy to every gathering. Moreover, he was the glue that effortlessly held groups together, fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie among friends and family.

James cherished time spent with his family and friends, and his beloved dog and faithful companion, Spud. But regrettably, life can be fleeting, and destiny took him too soon. We mourn the loss of a loving son, who now joins his father, Thomas, in the afterlife. However, we find solace and strength in the legacy he leaves behind.

James was Survived by his mother, Daphine, Milan; brother, Adam Welsh, Milan; sister, Alyssa Tracy (Brian Wartman), Hillsdale; niece, Lexxie Tracy; nephews, Memphis Welsh and Konrad Tracy; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. James did not have distant relatives; instead, he considered all of his family and friends as his next of kin.
