Janet M. Hoefle, 77, of Rock Island, died Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline.  Cremation rites were accorded.  There will be no services.  Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan, assisted the family.

Janet was born in Rock Island on February 15, 1940, a daughter of Thomas and Dorothy Anderson Arzdorf.  She married Michael B. Hoefle on March 31, 1966 in Rock Island.  He preceded her in death on July 2, 1999.

Janet started her career at Servus Rubber Company, Rock Island, and later at the Dispatch/R.I. Argus where she worked as a dark room technician and photographer for many years.

In her earlier years, she participated in many horse shows as well as pitched for several local women's fast pitch softball teams.  Janet was a member of DORCS.  She enjoyed traveling, nature, fishing, online gaming and especially loved all of her pets.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter and son-in-law, Terri (Chuck) Hageman, Milan; sister, JoAnn Parmley, Moline; brother, Gerald "Jerry" Arzdorf, Wickenburg, Ariz.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
