Janet A. Norman, 73, of Coal Valley, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at her home. Services for Mrs. Norman will be 10 am, Friday at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, Coal Valley. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island, where a family prayer service will be conducted at 7 pm. Burial will be in Kingsbury Cemetery, Newton Township, Erie, Ill. Memorials may be made to the Church or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Janet was born on February 22, 1943 in Davenport, the daughter of Vincent and Antoinette Morlock Klauer. She married Ronald Norman on June 25, 1994 in Erie. Mrs. Norman worked as a pharmacy technician at Trinity Medical Center, Moline before her retirement in 2008. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time with her horses and taking road trips with her husband. Survivors include her husband, Ron; children, Richard (Dorie) VanDeKerckhove Jr., Viola, Robin McGee (Gary McMeekan), Sherrard, Raeann (Michael) Lujan, San Antonio, TX.; step children, Michael (Tracy) Norman, Schaghticoke, NY., Melissa Norman (Brett McCormick), Erie and Melinda (Michael) Shaw, Camanche, IA.; 19 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; siblings, Vincent Klauer, Milan, Richard Klauer, Rock Island, Clarence (Shirley) Klauer, East Moline, Bill (Kay) Klauer, Milan, David (Jean) Klauer, Coal Valley, Bernard (Carol) Klauer, Andalusia, and Cecilia Kargl, Rock Island; mother in law, Harriett Norman, Erie.
