Janet Lynn Wilson, 69, of Milan, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2014

at UnityPoint Health-Trinity, Rock Island. Services for Mrs. Wilson will be 10

am, Wednesday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan. Visitation will be

Tuesday from 4 to 8 pm, at the funeral home, where a Pythian service will be held

at 7:30 pm. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be

made to UnityPoint Hospice.

Janet was born on July 12, 1945 in Chicago, a daughter of Charles and Beverly

Rogers Swank. She married Glenn Wilson on February 4, 1977 in Galena. Janet

worked as a correctional officer at the Rock Island County Sherriff's Office, retiring

in 1994. Previously she had worked as a emergency dispatcher for the cities of

Moline and East Moline. Jan was a member of Faith Fellowship Baptist Church,

Milan and the Pythain Sisters, Blackhawk Temple, No. 254, Milan. She enjoyed

horseback riding, traveling, sewing, craft work and ATV trail riding.

Survivors include her husband, Glenn; children, Paula (Jon) Desmond, San Diego,

CA., Robert (Lisa) Wilson, Illinois City, and Beverly (Matthew) Lower, Aledo; six

grandchildren; and a sister, Patricia Hurt, Milan.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Beverly Swank; and a sister,
