Janice M. Johnston, 77, of Moline, passed away Friday, September 2, 2022, at her residence.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline.  Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island, with recitation of the rosary at 3:30 pm.  Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.

Janice was born on March 29, 1945, in Rock Island, the daughter of George and Germaine (Schmitt) Fetes.  She was married to Dennis "Jug" Johnston for 48 years.  Janice was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline.  Janice enjoyed playing cards with her card club, and going boating with her husband, Dennis.  She loved going to estate sales and shopping with her sisters and mother.  Most of all she treasured the time she spent with her family and friends.

Janice is survived by her daughters, Karen (Ricardo) Garcia, Joan (John) Cronier, and Pamela Romeo; grandchildren, Nicholas Romeo, Joseph Romeo, Jackson Cronier, and Charley Cronier; great grandson, Noah Romeo; siblings, Larry Fetes, Patricia (Charlie) Coleman, Katherine (Dave) Lackey, and Joann (Bob Thornton) Fetes; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Johnston; parents; brother, James Fetes; sister, Rose Mary Gebhardt; sister-in-law, Anne Fetes; and nephew, Randy Fetes.
