Jason Boos, 47, of Orion, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023. Memorial services will be 10:00am Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00pm Friday, June 30, at the funeral home, with a Masonic Service at 3:30pm. Inurnment will be in Western Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
Jason was born September 17, 1975, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Tom Boos and Kimberly Fitch. He graduated from Orion High School in 1993. Jason then served in the Army Reserves. He married Annette Thede on March 6, 2004, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Coal Valley, where they were members. Jason was co-owner of Elliott Septic LLC with his wife. Most recent employers included Elliott Excavating and Exelon. Jason was a past master of Sherman Lodge in Orion. He was a member of SEAL Family Legacy, formerly Thank the SEALs. Jason and Annette loved riding their Harley together. Jason was an avid Lions fan and known for always making everyone feel like they were family.
Survivors include his wife, Annette; children, Mackenzie, Nadine, and Airik; granddaughter, Aubriana Newberry; mother, Kimberly (Doug) Martin, father, Tom (Maggie) Boos; stepfather, Dan (Nancy) Elliott; siblings, Tom (Christine) Boos, Jacklyn Elliott, Kaitlyn Elliott, Jacob Elliott, Trevor (Jessica) Turner, and Nick and Brandon Martin; grandparents, Abe and Suzanne Fitch, Peter Boos, Sylvia Teel, and Shirley Elliott; uncles, Fred Fitch, Randy (Tammy) Fitch, Bernie Elliott (Rick Baker), and Todd (Rebecca) Boos; aunts, Tracey (Todd) Hamilton, Cindy Hay, and Barb (Lou) Garchow; extended family, Nate, Julie and Giles, Keith and Robin, Dalton, Fred, Bear, Mike, and Sam; and many, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nada Boos, Elmer Elliott, and Edna and Bill Van De Gejuchte.
