Jax Spencer Fielding, 14, of Reynolds, passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at home.  A funeral service will be 11 am Friday, February 23, 2024 at the Reynolds United Methodist Church, 313 W. Edgington Street, Reynolds, IL.  Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 E. 4th Avenue, Milan.  Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island.  Memorials may be made in care of the family.

Jax was born in Charleston, South Carolina on February 26, 2009, a son of Robert and Amy Maltsburger Fielding.  He was currently in 8th grade at Rockridge Junior High School.

Jax enjoyed playing video games, being silly, joking, playing pranks on others and making people laugh.  He loved spending time with his family and friends.  He was known for giving the best bear hugs and was his mother's biggest helper.

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Amy and Robert Fielding, Reynolds; siblings, Alyssa (Bradley) Hinman, St. Augustine, FL, Hailey (Colin Wagner) Lamp, Clearwater, FL and Marshall, Noah and Ansley Fielding, all of Reynolds; grandparents, Dewey and Susan Maltsburger, Milan, Bill and Linda Rodgers, Ridgeville, S.C. and David Fielding, Midland, TX; great-grandmother, Tootie Rodgers, Ridgeville, S.C.; aunt, Jill Maltsburger; uncles, Christopher (Taya) Maltsburger and Randy Fielding; special aunt, Joan Noon; and numerous other family members and friends.
