Jean-Claude Gagnon, 73, of Aledo,  formerly of New Boston, passed away  Saturday March 5, 2016 at Aledo Rehab & Health Care.

No services are currently planned, his family plans to have a memorial Celebration of his life at a later date. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan, assisted the family with arrangements.

He was born in Rouyn, Quebec, Canada on  July 2, 1942, a son of Edward and Glorieuse Labonte' Gagnon.

Jean-Claude was an electrician for many years, he began work at the age of 14 with Hydro-Quebec in Canada. He later worked for Utility Lines Construction, constructing electrical towers and lines in the U.S. Over the years, he also worked for Iowa-Illinois Electric, John Deere, and General Motors.

He enjoyed gardening, boating, and being with friends and family.

He is survived by his sons, Danny Gagnon, Rock Island, Gary Gagnon, Colona; daughter, Leah Gagnon, Corunna, Mich.; two grandchildren, Marcus and Sommer; and many siblings in Canada, the United States, and the Americas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one daughter, Manon Gagnon Dippel.
