Jean A. Haskins, 90, of Rock Island, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at Friendship Manor, Rock Island.

Visitation will be at 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Burial will be at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, in Rock Island National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the inurnment should meet at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island at 12:45 pm on Wednesday.  Memorials may be made to Alleman Catholic High School.

Jean was born August 20, 1933, in Lindsay, NE, to Emil and Coletta (Schaecher) Behrens. She married Donald "Don" Haskins on August 2, 1952. He preceded her in death on February 11, 2022. Jean worked as a secretary at Illinois Casualty Co. for 48 years. Jean was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs. She loved to sew, play cards, and give to any charity she was able to. Jean was known to drink her beer on ice.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Thomas (Margaret Mary) Haskins, Moline, IL, Ellen (Michael) Phelps, Rock Island, IL, Susan (Bryan) Radtke, Milan, IL; daughter-in-law, Jana Haskins; grandchildren, Chris (Stephanie), Stacie, Brittney (Brandon), Dustin (Renea), Addison, and Henry; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Cullen, Eliott, Brenna, Jackson, and Eva.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; son, Timothy; grandchildren, Sam, Charlie, and Evan; and siblings, Arlene Exline, James Behrens, and Helene Behrens.
