Jean J. Ramsey, 85, of Rock Island, passed away Wednesday January 10, 2024 at UPH Trinity, Rock Island.

Per her wishes there will be no public services.

Jean was born on September 16, 1938 in Russellville, Alabama, the son of Ruben and Etoile (Chance) Thorne. She married Thomas M. Ramsey on November 27, 1954 in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on March 16, 2005.

Jean was a homemaker most of her adult life and had previously been employed at Von Maur, Davenport and Sears Manufacturing, Davenport.

She loved watching the Quad City Storm Hockey and had been a fan since they started and enjoyed listening to music.

Survivors include her son, John Ramsey, of Rock Island; sister in laws, Maxine Barns and Evelyn Heath.

She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Thomas C. Ramsey and parents.
