Jean was born on March 15, 1949 in Rock Island, the daughter of William and Marjorie (Whisler) Vensel. She married Alfred "Butch" Huber II on January 24, 1970.

She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, her coffee breaks, playing the slots, scratch off tickets, reading, crafting, was a artist and had been a speed skater in her youth. She could often be found stopping by McDonald's for a frappe on her way to Barnes and Noble with her grandson Gabriel, who she helped raise.

Survivors include her loving husband Butch, Rock Island; daughters, Heather (Larry Hufford), Amy and Tracey; grandchildren, Taelor, Gabriel, Cainen, Jackson and Elijah; siblings and spouses, William Vensel Jr., Judie Bennett, Kathy Schroeder, John Vensel, Mary Stroup, Barb German and David Vensel; special friends, Connie Ethridge, Mike Reynolds and Tammy (Tacey) Hogren; several nieces and nephews.
