Jeanne M. Grossell, 65, of Rock Island, passed away Sunday August 17, 2025 at Hope Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation, East Moline.

A service celebrating her life will be held at 11:00AM Thursday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 10:00AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be left to her daughter Angela Hood.

Jeanne was born on November 26, 1959 in Rock Island, Illinois, the daughter of Armin and Dolores (Hoss) Grossell. She married Steve Hood, with whom she had a daughter, Angela.

She enjoyed spending time with family, working on arts and crafts.

Survivors include her daughter, Angela Hood, Bloomington; grandchildren, Jose Serna Jr., Madison Serna, Isabella Serna; siblings, Michael (Colleen) Grossell, North Carolina, Katherine Freeman, Rock Island, Suzanne Butler, Athens, Alabama, Mary Carey, Rock Island, Elizabeth (Randy) Heggen, Rock Island; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Patricia Grossell, brothers, Robert and Richard Grossell and brother in laws, Rodney Carey and John Freeman.
