Jeanne Marie Boswell, 60, of Rock Island, passed away Thursday February 23, 2017 at UPH-Trinity, Rock Island.

A memorial gathering will be from 4-6pm Monday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island, with a service to follow at 6pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the family for a fund to be established at a later date.

Jeanne was born on November 6, 1956 in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of John "Doug" Putnam and Mary (Splinter) Leonard. She was a graduate of Southern Illinois University with a bachelors degree in photo journalism.  She married Lawrence BOZ Boswell.

Jeanne loved playing cards, cooking and gardening. She was a very creative person and inquisitive.

Survivors include her husband, Lawrence "Boz"; brothers, William Putnam, Boston, MA, Timothy (Kelly) Putnam, Mason City, IA; nephew, Kyle Putnam; special friend, Rose Cecelia Benson and a large extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
