Jeff Scott Heber, 56, of Anna, Ill., died Dec. 15, 2016 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Cremation rites will be observed. A private service will held at a later date conducted by Pastor Dan Doty, former member and Youth Director of Broadway Presbyterian Church, Rock Island.  Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island, by the praying hands Heber monument.  Memorials may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of Jeff.

He was born on June 28, 1960 in Rock Island, the son of Gene and Helen Norris Heber of Rock Island.

He was a resident of Choate Development Center in Anna, Ill.,  due to health issues. Jeff was very well liked there.  He enjoyed yoyo's and watching Disney movies. He had a very joyful spirit about him and was loved by many.

Surviving are his mother, Helen Norris Heber, Rock Island; sister, Julie Ann Heber, Rock Island; brother, Jack Scott Heber, Moline; nephews, Brad Heber (Nicole), Wildwood, Mo., Brent Heber (Jenna) Beaver Creek, Ohio and Cooper Heber, Moline; nieces, Charly Heber-Spates, Rock Island and Cya Heber, Moline. He was proceeded in death by his father, Gene Heber on Dec. 25, 2007.
