Jeffrey J. Kilgard, 35, of Coal Valley, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2017 at his residence.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan.  Visitation will be held from 4 - 7 pm on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Jeffrey was born on December 23, 1981 in Silvis, the son of Billy and Joyce (Hollerud) Kilgard.  He married Shelby Connell on May 20, 2006 in Milan.  Jeffrey worked as a Contract Specialist at the RI Arsenal.  He was an avid Cubs fan, and enjoyed collecting NES systems and games and playing for the Veto League Baseball.

Jeffrey is survived by his wife, Shelby Kilgard; son, Mason Kilgard; parents, Bill and Joyce Kilgard; sister, Amber Kilgard; mother and father-in-law, Peggy and Allan Connell; and brother-in-law, Nick (Annie) Connell.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
