Jeffrey Edward Roessler, 59, of Rock Island, died Sunday, September 20, 2020 at the Aledo Rehabilitation and Heath Care Center, Aledo.  Cremation rites were accorded.  A memorial visitation will be from 4-6 pm Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Avenue, Rock Island.  Masks and social distancing will be required.  A celebration of Jeff's life will take place immediately following visitation at Brandon's Pub and Grille, Rock Island, from 6-8 pm.  Memorials may be made in care of the family or Rock Island High School Athletics.

Jeff was born on November 12, 1960 in Moline, Illinois, a son of Paul and Dorothy McCombs Roessler.  He last worked as a district manager for the Quad City Times.

Jeff was a major supporter and fan of Rock Island High School and Augustana College sports, especially their football and basketball programs.  He enjoyed watching the games with family and close friends.  He also enjoyed fishing and was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Brandon (Stephanie) Roessler, Moline; granddaughter, Kaylea Roessler, Rock Island; brother, Steve Roessler, Rock Island; nephews, Jason (Sarah) Roessler and their son, Matthew, Justin (McKenzie) Roessler and their sons, Nickolas, Brooklyn and Bronx, Jerrod (Jami) Roessler and their daughter, Myah and Jacob Lester; and many extended family and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Sherry Roessler and nephew, Josh Patting-Roessler.
