Obituary

Jennifer K. Prescott, 55, of Moline, passed away Friday November 18, 2022 at UPH Trinity, Rock Island. A memorial gathering will be held from 10:00 a.m.-12:00p.m. Saturday November 26, 2022 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Atchley Cemetery, Lebanon, MO. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diabetes Association. Jennifer Kay Alexender was born February 7th, 1967, in Fort Leonard Wood, MO., daughter to Ronald K. Alexander and Judy S. Denney. She was almost born in a military medic tent that was being used in place of the hospital that was under construction. Thankfully, Jennifer was the fifth baby born in the new hospital. With her father being a Sargeant in the Army, she spent the next six years of her life in Germany, where her sister, and lifelong best friend, Tracy, was born. As a teenager Jennifer had many hobbies. Reading, crocheting and needlework, listening to music, and roller skating were just a few of the things she loved to do. Her favorite pass time was camping with her mother and sister in a homemade tent down by the river. They loved to cook over the fire, watch the stars, and listen to stories from their mother. Jennifer's love for roller skating brought her to meet her loving husband, as she locked skates with him in full motion, causing her to fall unconscious. Bryan then stayed and looked after her until she came to, then ran, but couldn't run far enough. Jennifer and Bryan got married on November 18th, 1988. She gave birth to two children, Nina and Travis. Jennifer had been employed as a secretary with an attorney's office and later a church. However, her favorite job and passion was being a gifted, loving, wonderful, mother. Her deep love for her family that everyone could see was just a glimpse of how kind and amazing her heart was. She loved spending time with her family and friends. The only thing Jennifer was better at than being a mother was her talent for being a grandmother. Jennifer loved her grandchildren so much that they will remember and speak of her for generations to come. Jennifer will live on in the memories of those she touched with her kind and gentle personality for the rest of their lives. Survivors include her children, Nina (Jeffrey) Oldham, Walcott, Iowa; Travis (Julia) Prescott, Shannon, Illinois; mother and stepfather, Judy and Paul E. Daniel; father, Ronald Alexander; grandchildren, Landyn, RaeLynn and Henryck; sister, Tracy L. Gonzales; niece, Andrea Gonzales; great nephews, Zaidyn and Jaisyk. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Steven T. Alexander and Kevin L. Alexander
