Jeri Lynn (Benson) Foran, 69, Rock Island, IL died Sunday, February 2, 2025 at her home. Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and there will be a private graveside service at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to QC Animal Welfare Center.

Jeri was born on October 7, 1955 in Rock Island to Max and Donna (Bush) Benson. She graduated from Rockridge High School in 1973.

On July 18, 2006 she married Jeffrey Foran in Aledo, IL. The couple made their home in Rock Island. He preceded her death on May 24, 2012.

Jeri loved to read, play cards, cook, and go kayaking. Her greatest enjoyment was her pets. She was an avid animal lover and treated them all like her babies. She also volunteered at the animal shelter for many years.

Those left to cherish her memory include her brother, Jim (Barbara) Benson; sister, Jeanie Sulouff; brothers-in-law, Dwayne Farmer and Dean Bruce; nieces, Chelsey DeCap, Sarah and Rachel Benson, Kortni Gehlert; nephews, John Dale Mayhew, Dylan Farmer; great-nieces and nephews, Kyra, Dayne, Paisley, Stella, Jax, Miles, and Mira.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Judy Benson Farmer.
