Jerome Baine, 38, of Las Vegas, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Services for Mr. Baine will be 11 am, Thursday at the Third Missionary Baptist Church, 222 West 14th St., Davenport. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Davenport. Memorials may be made to the family. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island is assisting the family.Jerome was born on December 30, 1975 in Chicago, a son of Homer and Vera Baine Jr. Jerome gave his life to the Christ in June of 1980 at the Second Union Grove Church of Chicago. He sang in the church choir at Christian Unity Church in Maywood, IL. Jerome never forgot his Christian beliefs. He married Shanta Neal, the love of his life on September 27, 2008. Together they lovingly raised their four children with Godly direction. Jerome worked as a service representative for AT&T and Comcast. He was a wizard on the computer, a great DJ and dancer. Jerome was a wonderful family man.

Survivors include his wife, Shanta; sons, Romeo Kendrel Baine, Eric Richardson and Zyon Baine; a daughter, A'lailah Baine; parents, Homer and Vera Baine Jr.; sister, Lacicia Michelle Nicole Baine; a grandfather, Carnel Bates; his Godmother, Lisa Anderson; aunts, Ruthie Baine, Brenda Hurns, Angie Bates and his Aunt Valerie; uncles, Melvin Bates and Michael Bates; and a host of cousins and friends.
