Jerry W. Lowe, 61, of Taylor Ridge, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital, Davenport, surrounded by his family.  Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 4th Ave. E, Milan.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery.  Memorials may be made in care of the family for a fund to be designated later.

Jerry was born on August 18, 1955 in Rock Island and was  raised by the late Richard Sr. and Mary Ann (Barnes) Lowe.  He married Renee Rursch in 1976 and later married Cheryl Schroder on June 18, 1983 at St. John Lutheran Church, Rock Island.  Jerry worked at HON/ Allsteel for 25 years.  He retired from Allsteel  in 2003 and worked for Coca-Cola until  2012, when his illness prevented him from working any longer.  Jerry was an avid outdoorsman and a longtime member of the Illinois City Volunteer Fire Department.  He enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing and hunting with his sons.  He was also a NASCAR, St. Louis Cardinal and Green Bay Packer Fan.  In earlier years, he coached his sons' baseball and football teams.  Jerry enjoyed spending time family, especially his granddaughters

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Cheryl; sons, Adam (Sabrina) Lowe and Brad Lowe; grandchildren, Tatum and Harper Lowe; siblings, Richard (Dee) Lowe, Jr., and Tammy Lowe, all  of Arizona and several nieces, nephews, extended  family members and friends.
