Jessie Belle Jones gained her wings on December 26th, 2023. At the beautiful age of 81, she now walks with the angels.

She was born unto her parents, Paul Moore and Mary-Kate Smith-Moore on February 10, 1942, in Port Gibson, MS. She moved to Robins, IL, where she would spend her childhood. She graduated from Dwight D. Eisenhower High School in Blue Island, IL. She married Columbus Jones and created their family with three children.

Jessie Belle lived a life dedicated to God and being of service to others. She was a devoted member of Church of Christ in Moline, IL for over 30 years. Every Sunday you would find her heading to service. She worked for Addus Home Healthcare of Moline, IL. She enjoyed assisting her clients and helping to make life better for them. She enjoyed traveling to see family, building onto her home, and going to estate sales with her friends. She was genuinely caring and friendly to everyone she met.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; brothers, Paul Moore, Vernon Moore and Walter Moore; sisters, Mary Francis, Jennie Rae Moore and Ellen Moore.

She leaves behind her sisters, Ruth Moore-Cameron, Eloise Burnett and Elizabeth Moore; children, Andre Moore, Centrella Jones and Columbus Jones; grandchildren, Alexia Moore, Michael Reese, Patrica Jones, Marquis Jones, Jaquan Jones, Andrea Moore-Johnson, Andre Moore Jr, C'Aniye Jones and KiAnna Jones; honorary family member, Tara Dent-McClendon; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island, with visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Following the service, a repass will be held at the Holiday Inn, 226 17th Street, Rock Island. Memorials may be left in care of the family.
