Jimmie O'Dell Presson, age 85, of East Moline, passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2026, at Genesis Medical Center in Silvis, Illinois. Born in Humboldt, Tennessee, Jimmie was the cherished son of Landon and Virdia (Anderson) Presson. His life was a testament to love, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to family and community. 

Jimmie leaves behind a legacy that will be fondly remembered by his beloved daughter, Toni Sierer, and his adoring grandchildren: Lance (Jessica) Sierer, Alicia (Shane) Dierikx, and Noah (Lane) Sierer. His joy was multiplied by his great-grandchildren, Dylan, Hunter, Landon Sierer, and Oliver and Elliot Dierikx, alongside a great-great-grandson expected to arrive soon. Jimmie's warmth and kindness will also be remembered by his four siblings and a multitude of nieces, nephews, and extended family members. 

Preceding him in death were his parents, his son-in-law Gary Sierer, and five siblings, all of whom he held dear in his heart. For over 50 years, 

Jimmie proudly owned and operated his own tree service business, where he shared his extensive knowledge and passion for trees with the community. An exceptional cook, Jimmie delighted family and friends with his renowned roast, potatoes and carrots, and he never missed a chance to enjoy a free pie day at Village Inn. He was also known for his impressive collections of many different things over the years. Jimmie was a member of the local Masonic Lodge. His enthusiasm for watching sports of any kind, especially NASCAR, and his adventurous spirit, was infectious, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. 

In honor of Jimmie’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded, and at this time, no services will be held. The family kindly requests that any memorials be made in care of them. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family during this difficult time.
